The Con Edison team was selected for their active engagement and leadership on multiple work teams, sharing sustainable practices, their leadership in this space, their support of other members in improving their own performance, and for their constant desire to push the Alliance to do more. A few specific examples of their program’s success includes: embedding sustainability goals and the Alliance Survey results in strategic agreements, piloting the Alliance Utility Benchmark with corporate service partners, updating their Supplier Code of Conduct, launching an annual event to recognize supplier excellence in sustainability, and becoming fully engaged with Con Edison’s Sustainability Leadership Council.
